Yeah, the biggest problem is, how to get your employer to notice you.
I can't think of any specific solution for now... :-p |
How about friend referal? which means your friend is working in that company currently and helps you to send the resume. Do you think it will works? |
Good connections make shortcuts for A LOT OF THINGS. |

Another thing that I want to add here is good grades does not mean that person have good attributes as well. But good grades = opportunity for good future( you are right)
But what if someone that not having good result but they are good employee? They able to do everything on time and good work. Just because they do not have the talent in their studies then they will not able to get the opportunity to get the work.. I just wonder... |
Yes there are a lot of similar case where people do excel working instead of studying. The only problem they have is to prove themselves worthy because their result slip won't be able to tell the employer good enough information. |
Its bad and hard because we do not meet them face-to-face when we send our resume.. They are only facing with our results and we not able to convince them at all.. wonder how to solve this.. any solution? |
Well, the best chance to convince them is during the interview. Of course in order to have an interview opportunity, a good resume helps. It is during the interview process that we need to present ourselves honestly & we need to show that we are willing to learn & work hard. The way we speak & carry ourselves already given the interviewer an answer. |
Erm, but I heard that those interviews are usually asking some standard questions. Is it true?
Then, are we suppose to prepare answers for those questions also?
But I think after all, it depends on how we able to convince them that we are the right person..
Do you agree? |
Should not be a big problem to answer those standard questions. The thing is most interviewers will have some sort of killer questions that really define who you really are. And that is what they use to evaluate you the most. |

Definitely yes. Your attitude determines your altitude. |

enrius,
Any example of those killer questions? Maybe I can learn something from this questions.. I have less experience in job interviews actually.. |

Yeah, I agree with this.
But what if the friend is in higher post in the company? then is it will increase the chances that you will get the job? Then, will it be fair for those outside people without any friend referal?
What do you think with this? |

Honestly speaking, somebody with a higher position in the co. has the influence when it comes to hiring others. Of course, this is not being fair to others who also have the same qualifications. But sometimes if people really have the chance, they would rather go for it as a matter of fact..this is a realistic world! If you dont grab it..others will! |

Heard this from a friend:
"Elaborate your weak points and tell us why we should hire you when you have such weak points."
Either you lie or you speak the truth. Which one will it be?
Another one for those below average results:
"You got such a bad result while you were just supposed to study! How can I trust you to do the work nicely?" |

Of course it is not fair. But hey, this world is not fair from the first place! We're not in a official competition, so there are no rules to officiate how things should run. For me, I won't reject a good connection presented to me, nor I would condemn on people who uses that... This is life, simply put. |

enrius,
I have the exactly opposite question. They usually asked me about your own strength, why do you want to join this company, how can you bring benefits to the company. I guess they are just asking the same question (no matter strength or weaknesses).
Should we speak the truth? |

I wish I have those opportunity. As you said, there is no official rules on how things should run. So, there are many methods to make it happen (to get the job). Nothing is wrong or right. |

Well, that should not be very hard to answer. Just speak your mind out. Tell him how valuable you are.
On the other hand, if you were to talk about your weakness, would you tell the interviewer the truth? I would. I'll tell him my weakness and how I am currently overcoming it. This will at least let him know that I am a man of honor. |

Yeah, me too. So now I'm trying to widen up my connection and hopefully I would be able to enjoy the benefit presented by that. More connections means more opportunities. |
